Rehabilitation and Refunctionalization of Praça Viana

An iconic project for the city, the conversion of Viana’s old bullring was carried out by Baltor. The city now has a facility with the best conditions for practicing sport.

The contract allowed the old bullring to be converted into a sports campus, with the building and surrounding areas being refurbished. This municipal facility has been refunctionalized, allowing it to be at the service of sports training and the sports of the people of Viana.

The former arena, with an area of 3,800 square meters and a diameter of around 65 meters, has been transformed into a multifunctional structure to serve sports and young people, suitable for practicing several sports simultaneously. The first floor has commercial areas for shops and services, with access from the outside and separate from the main building; reception, secretariat and administration; changing rooms; training / warm-up rooms; Rhythmic and Artistic Gymnastics area / Playing Field; Trampoline and Jumping Gymnastics area; playing field and technical area. Floor 1, on the other hand, consists of a 240-seat grandstand, restaurant, bar, kitchen and public toilets.
